What is the relationship between hardware and software?

Students discover that one cannot really exist without the other, they have a very close/dependent relationship.

Students can look at a laptop and answer this question through critical thinking and guiding questions from the teacher. Students can also use Google or Google pictures which provides great illustrations of the relationship between the two. This question also requires students to first research what is software and hardware (if they don't already know) or reinforce prior learning.
