I would love to create a lesson in which students can interact with a sample of phones from the past 60years. To assist with this lesson we would invite an elderly person ( 80 plus) from our small community into our class who could talk to us about communication in their era, followed by someone in their 60's, 40's , 20's and now.
This would allow students to see and hear how quickly this form of communication has changes. It would also create an opening to discuss future telecommunications.
A time line created by the class would also be a great way to consolidate and display these changes.
This website already has a simple and interesting timeline to engage students.
