This video is a great introduction for an online safety lesson. It makes students aware of how they might think it is OK to post something online that they wouldn't do in "real life", for example, giving out their school name to strangers.
I have also found it helpful to ask the local police liaison officer to speak to my class. Many believe these things will not happen to them and to hear local stories is sometimes a good eye opener.
