Option 1: In my classroom I have recently encouraged students to gather data based on their spelling tests. After their tests have been marked they place the data into a graph, as seen below. This has helped students recognise their progress over the term. Many were only able to recognise how well they had done throught the visual representation. It has also encouraged students to look back at tests and find which words and sounds they found difficult.
