Hi. I’m Amanda Hughes, a Mathematics, Science and STEM teacher at a small district school on the east coast of Tasmania. One of my favourite videos to show in STEM is about Dinara Kasko, who uses computer modelling software and 3D printers to make amazing cakes. What I love about this video is that it demonstrates the integration of technologies into creative fields, such as making these spectacular cakes. It shows the importance of art into STEM disciplines. It helps hook students into broadening their thinking about what STEM is and that it requires creative flair.
