This link is to the Australian Defence Force and my interest lies in the RAN. I served in the RAN as a communications technician in the 1980s/90s. This was probably the catalyst for my interest in technologies and is a great example of how digital technologies are used by our Defence Forces to communicate and operate ships, submarines, aircraft and other assets. I would be really interested to see the changes in technologies over the past 20+ years as some of the equipment I worked on back then would resemble the 'brick' mobile phone that I first saw as a teenager.
