This resource looks at encoding, decoding and understanding print language. It looks at how children develop the understanding of 'the code', which then 'serves to facilitate the transference of the learner’s speech into print, which itself can serve as a platform upon which further literate language can be built'. The learning of the alphabet and the single sound each letter makes can be related to the process of encoding and decoding data, which conveys meaning. #cserTask3 Encoding, Decoding and Understanding
