Option 2: Describe a classroom activity that involves students encoding and decoding data.
This activity is designed to sit within a stage 4 Technology Food Unit and focuses on “Special Dietary Requirements”. For this task students would first be required to research the types of "Special Dietary Requirements" that people may have. Then the students would devise both a café menu and a suitable system of coding that could be applied to the items on the café menu. To the menus, students would then also add QR codes, providing specific information on the areas of “Special Dietary Need” and the foods associated.
