Describe a classroom activity that incorporates a visual programming environment (it can be any included in this module or another environment that you come across).
I have used visual programming environments in a variety of ways. My students loved using ScratchJr task cards as part of their reading rotation activities. We used the knowledge that they had built to then create dance/story sequences based on narratives they had written. I used the attached sample unit of work and modified it to suit my English curriculum needs in year 2/3 class. If anyone is interested in a copy, please let me know. I will be happy to email it. This unit also included students completing unplugged activities and learning about computational thinking.
