My first use of QR codes was with Year 7 students where I had them choose a book from the Library that they loved and create a book trailer or review for it. We then linked their book trailer/review to a QR code that was stuck on the front cover of the book. Students who were borrowing books were then able to scan the QR code to view the book trailer/review to help them decide whether they wanted to borrow it. This activity generated a lot of excitement – my students loved sharing their trailers/reviews with other students and the students loved scanning the codes to see what they revealed! We did this a few times through the year and other classes followed so now there's a wide a range of books with QR codes on them. #csertask3
