An activity I would (and do) use with my class is the CopeAPillar app which is a free download from itunes or google play. The app allows children to develop skills in putting things into a logical sequence and giving instructions (to the CodeAPillar, so that it can complete the course). This provides an opportunity to embed a little more structure to play than the physical CodeAPillars do – although the kids don't realise that!
