How will computers replace human performance in the work industry in the future?
This question will enable students to understand the importance of developing 21C skills, and to explore those skills that separate us from computers. Students may research the structure/function of computers and compare and contrast these to humans (similarly to the second example activity), then draw from this the elements of human nature that can/cannot be replaced by technology. Further research into potential future technologies could be made (as with the IBM 5+ video), and from this students could begin to answer the inquiry question. Students could even design a computer to perform the task of a human in the work industry – with a success criteria that asked them to provide an annotated diagram of the parts and their purpose i.e. CPU, expansion slots etc. #cserTask4
