Danika Wylie▸ Task 6: Algorithms & Programming
This is an activity I completed with a Year 2 special needs student, but could very easily be completed by PP or Year 1 students to introduce sequences.
It looked at an everyday task (washing hands) and how we complete a sequence that is similar each time. We discussed how the steps have to occur at the right time (e.g. Not wiping hands and then applying soap) in order to be successful in completing the task.
We took photos of the student completing the task and then he arranged them into the correct order. He then verbally spoke about each picture and the step that was being completed.
