In my classroom I have students using the Education Department's Connect application in order to share and collaborate on a number of different tasks. They are able to engage in discussions about particular posted topics using monitored discussion threads allowing them to recognise that anyone could see what they have written. I have also used the SeeSaw application for students to share their 'best' pieces of work with their peers and families. This became a digital portfolio where students could interact with each others' posts in a safe online environment while learning how to interact appropriately in a work sharing space. It also allowed them to justify what they posted and be particular about what to post as they knew their work would and could be seen by a number of different people.
