As part of my role as Curriculum Officer for the Digital Technologies in Focus project for ACARA, I have been looking into the 'Why' behind the Digital Technologies curriculum and found links to real-world examples for my schools in North Queensland. This article is a wonderful example of how technology is being used to create underwater drones to control the Crown of Thorns Starfish on the Great Barrier Reef. It's really important for both teachers and students to realise the potential of the curriculum and how it will influence student learning and future innovation. #Task1: Introducing DTsQUT creates reef-saving robot
