As part of my role as Curriculum Officer for the Digital Technologies in Focus project for ACARA, I have been looking into the 'Why' behind the Digital Technologies curriculum and found links to real-world examples for my schools in North Queensland. This article is a wonderful example of how technology is being used to create underwater drones to control the Crown of Thorns Starfish on the Great Barrier Reef.
