I am about to embark upon my second year as a Primary School teacher and have been offered the amazing opportunity to teach Digital Technology and Design & Technology, however I have very little knowledge of just what DT is and to be perfectly honest have never really given any thought to how the likes of smart phones and TVs etc have come to be.

I came across this article detailing the Future of Digital Technology and some of the emerging technologies and trends. I was particularly interested by "Internet Glasses" – laser based displays within eye wear. The technology can be used in eye glasses to display images directly onto our retinas for a range of applications such as giving a speech whilst information is streamed to your eyeglasses, viewing virtual recipes whilst cooking or identifying a footy player on the field and getting statistics via your glasses!
