Option 1: Inquiry Question

Question: What do you think the next step in computer abilities (innovations) will be and why?

I hope this question will lead students to explore what it is that computers can already do (so they don't answer the question with an existing innovation) and encourage them to consider what they can't yet do – and why they would like computers to one day be able to complete these tasks. It may also lead into a design process type project, where students hypothesise what might be used to create the technology they have envisioned.
