I recently completed some training on orienteering and thought that the combination of binary code, QR codes and orienteering could be a really fun and engaging way of teaching both QR codes, position and binary language.
I would map out the orienteering course with signallers set around the place. At each signaller, there would be a QR code that took students to a block of text that gave them both the coordinates for the next clue AND part of a riddle that they need to put together and solve to find the finish line.
