Grace _▸ F-6 Digital Technologies MOOC

Option 2: a sequence of activities, more broadly defined, that together, address a specific learning objective

Recently I have been working towards using OneNote to create a series of units/lessons to use with my Year 8 ICT class, I just finished creating the one I will be using for programming. At my school we use scratch at year 8 and this one note is based around a series of activities** that develop and enhance students skills and concludes with them designing (storyboards), creating and producing a game. It must be noted that we start at a basic level because being a secondary school we have student who have never used scratch and those who are experienced hence we have a number of extension activities as well.

This unit links to ACARA via the following:
8.7 Design algorithms represented diagrammatically and in English; and trace algorithms to predict output for a given input and to identify errors

8.8 Implement and modify programs with user interfaces involving branching, iteration and functions in a general- purpose programming language

I can't seem to upload this as a OneNote file or PDF so I will have to do it as a series of photos. My apologies to everyone.

** Activity number 1 is made up of 11 sub activities but I have only include the image of one.

NOTE: Students complete all activities and create their game in scratch and a copy (screen shots) are placed in the OneNote as evidence
