This is an activity for writing algorithms and codes relating to the common school yard game “Scarecrow-Tiggy”. Students use their understanding of CODE and putting algorithms together to formulate a CODE that directs the different players of the game e.g. the “IT” player. Once students have managed to create an algorithm that accurately represents the actions of the players in Scarecrow Tiggy, they can then go on to create algorithms for other games such as Dodge-ball and Line-Tiggy.
