I first started using a computer when I was quite young. My parents got their first computer when I was in year 4 and I often used it to play simple games and use word processing software. My first experience with the internet was when I was in year 6 – all my friends had a program called MSN Messenger and we often would chat to each other after school and on holidays and organise ourselves through this medium. This was a big move away from simply talking on the telephone and I remember thinking it was amazing how easily you could communicate with people with a few clicks of a button.
Rumour Sentence: The Honey Butterfly pollinates 10% of the worlds fruit and vegetables.
This sentence was chosen as I am developing a Science Unit surrounding Honey Bees and feel as if a simple sentence which may not be correct could be an interesting way to consolidate learning and see if students can change the sentence using facts that they have learnt throughout the unit.
