Basic programming and algorithms can easily be added to most classes started with writing procedures- how to make a sandwich or do a dance.
Younger students could use pictures of
food stuff and bread to help bridge the visual with the written. They make their paper sandwich then write what they did (in set by step order). Hands on is best for the younger students but big kids enjoy it too. Boys might like to build something with lego and write about how they made it.
