Anita Presti▸ F-6 Digital Technologies MOOC

A great sequencing lesson for younger children that incorporates reading is making vegemite sandwiches. First let the children make the sandwich recording the steps as they go. Then give the students the sequencing sentences in random order and ask them to cut and paste to sequence them correctly. They could then draw pictures to match their sentence and then practice reading their sentences. Alternately if you want to focus on writing they could practice rewriting the sentences themselves. Other cooking alternative could be baking bread, making jelly  or making pancakes. You could even take pictures of the sequences and then ask them to sequence the pictures and write their own sentences. cserTask6
